Assistant Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Dubravka Plejić Marković participated 4 December in a round table on “Challenges and Perspectives of the Eastern Partnership”
Assistant Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Dubravka Plejić Marković participated 4 December in a round table on “Challenges and Perspectives of the Eastern Partnership” as part of the Political Dialogue with the EU at Noon, organized by the European Commission Representation in Croatia.
Plejić Marković underlined the important of the Eastern Partnership policy both for the EU and for the member states since Croatia, which has recently finished the negotiating process, knows how reforms, which can sometimes be demanding, are useful in the long run for the stability and democratization of society. She commented on the recent Vilnius Summit, which Croatia attended for the first time and at which association and free trade agreements were initialled with Moldova and Georgia. She reiterated the common position of all member states that the European Union’s doors were still open for Ukraine.
She wrapped up her address by thanking the EC Representation for organizing a dialogue on such an important and current topic.
Other participants included Head of the EC Representation Branko Baričević, Head of the Office of the Embassy of Lithuania Devidas Stankevičius, as well as Branko Caratan and Hrvoje Špehar from the Faculty of Political Sciences.
