Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Neven Pelicarić received on 19 March 2008, on his request, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Zagreb Radivoj Cvetićanin

Ambassador Cvetićanin handed a note in which the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses strong protest over today’s decision by the Croatian Government to recognise Kosovo. Ambassador Cvetićanin added that he is to be, pursuant to the Serbian Government’s decision, withdrawn to Belgrade for consultations.

Assistant Minister Pelicarić reiterated the Croatian Government’s willingness to continue developing comprehensive and intensive relations with Serbia, pointing out the utmost importance of relations among the countries in the region, whose permanent stability remains an unavoidable element of Europe’s peace and security.
