Assistant Minister for Bilateral Affairs Nebojša Koharović held reciprocal political consultations with Bogdan Aurescu, the State Secretary for Strategic Affairs at the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The consultations focused on the Eastern Partnership in light of the upcoming Vilnius summit, Southeast Europe in light of the enlargement policy, as well as regional and global security. The two officials stressed the role of Croatia as a new member of the EU in the transfer of know-how and experience to the countries in the region. The Romanian side was once again expressed gratitude to for the support during Croatia’s European integration process and for the speedy ratification of the Accession Treaty. The two sides agreed to continue the intensive bilateral cooperation as well as cooperation within the EU policies.
Assistant Minister Koharović also held separate talks at the Romanian government with Ambassador-at-Large for Energy Security Mihnea Constantinescu on energy security and diversification of supply routes and sources.
