Assistant Minister Dražen Margeta received Indonesian Ambassador Sappartini Singgih Kunijoro-Jakti

Assistant Minister Margeta expressed great concern and regret about the problem, and pointed out the inappropriateness of the actions towards the ship and its crew. The information about the Indonesian forces attacking and unarmed mercantile ship of a friendly country was received with utter incredulity. Assistant Minister Margeta asked of the Ambassador that the ship and its crew be released as soon as possible.

Ambassador Kunijoro-Jakti promised to relay these requests to the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and work on solving this case as quickly as possible.
