On 1 October 2003, Mr. Ivica Tomić, Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia in Egypt, and Mr. Cherif Shoubashy, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Arab Republic of Egypt, signed on behalf of their respective Governments the Cooperation Programme in the Field of Culture for 2003, 2004 and 2005, at the Ministry of Culture of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The three-year cooperation programme in the field of culture was signed on the basis of previously signed Agreement on Cultural, Educational, Scientific and Technological Cooperation between the Republic of Croatia and the Arab Republic of Egypt.
