Ambassador Neven Pelicarić presented in La Habana credentials to the First Vice-President of the Council of State and Commander of the Revolution José Ramón Machado Ventura

After the ceremony of presenting credentials they discussed bilateral and economic relations and concluded that they are demonstrating an upward trend. Their further progress will be fostered by the visit of President Stjepan Mesić to Cuba, which is to take place soon. They also mentioned the pending meeting of the Mixed Croatia-Cuba Economic Committee.

Ambassador Pelicarić also talked with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba Bruno Rodríguez Parrillo, First Deputy Minister Dagoberto Rodríguez Barrero, and Director-General for European Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ernesto Sentí Darías.
