Croatian Ambassador Dražen Margeta handed on 31 July 2007 in Khartoum the originals of his credentials to President of the Republic of Sudan Omar Hassan Ahmed Al-Bashir, thereby assuming the duty of ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Croatia to the Republic of Sudan, seated in Cairo, the Arab Republic of Egypt
Both sides expressed support for the deepening of the good economic co-operation between Croatia and Sudan, as well as the interest in renewing the co-operation in, namely higher, education.
