Ambassador Foley described the relations between the USA and the Republic of Croatia as friendly and partner-like. He especially commended Croatia’s contribution as a responsible member of the UN and NATO in peace-keeping missions across the world, emphasising that the United States of America are a well-meaning partner of the Republic of Croatia.

In his lecture, Ambassador Foley underlined the economy, international reputation and willingness to take part in global commitments as the factors important for the future foreign policy status of the Republic of Croatia.

After the lecture, Ambassador Foley replied to numerous questions put forward by the attendees of the course regarding foreign policy priorities and public diplomacy in the United States of America.
