Ambassador Esad Prohić handed credentials to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, becoming new Croatian ambassador to Iran

Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia Esad Prohić handed on 23 December 2007 his credentials to President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, becoming the new Croatian ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran

In the meeting with President Ahmadinejad, Ambassador Prohić stated that the relations between Croatia and Iran are good and with no outstanding issues. He pointed out the very good cultural co-operation, but noted that there is significant room for improvement of the economic relations.

President Ahmadinejad agreed that the economic co-operation is lacking, but pointed out the possibilities of its development, namely in energy, industry, agriculture, and trade, as well as in science and technology.
