The collocutors discussed the notable rise in the number of Japanese tourists visiting Croatia, which in 2008 was 5 times larger than in 2005, and 66% larger than the figures for 2007. JATA Chairman Kanai said this year too has seen a great interest by the Japanese tourist to visit Croatia, in spite of the global crisis. Hence, the number of Japanese tourists’ visits is expected to rise by 20%, while other countries generally mark a decrease.

JATA Chairman Kanai commended the organization of last week’s JATA meeting in Croatia, calling to mind the beautiful sights he had had the opportunity to see during his stay in Croatia.
