First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić sent a condolence letter on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs over the death of academic Zdenko Škrabalo. “The Croatian diplomacy will remember Zdenko Škrabalo as an intellectual and organizer with broad international experience. During his terms of office as foreign minister and ambassador to Switzerland and Hungary, he contributed to international positioning of Croatia as well as to the creation of a network of diplomatic and consular offices. As a humanist, he was well known for his concern with refugee issues and his wish to transfer his vast experience to young professionals in creating the Croatian diplomacy,” reads the minister’s letter.
