On that occasion, he briefed them on the preparations for the forthcoming Croatia Summit which will, for the fifth year in a row, be held in Dubrovnik on 9 and 10 July. The topic of this year’s Croatia Summit is „South East Europe Facing Global Challenges“.

The Government of the Republic of Croatia hosts this year’s international conference, and among participants there will be ten prime ministers, fifteen ministers of foreign affairs and other high–ranking officials from Europe and North American countries, representatives of international organisations and ambassadors accredited to the Republic of Croatia.

Panel topics will be related to the issues of economic management, global security and transatlantic relations. Moreover, there will be discussions on the future vision for south–east Europe and challenges it faces during the global economic and financial crisis.
