The collocutors agreed that the relations between Croatia and Serbia based on partnership are important for the stability of the whole south–eastern European region, and therefore must be constructive and face future prospects. They stressed that this visit serves as a confirmation of a positive trend in mutual relations, as well as the forthcoming meeting of the Prime Ministers and meeting of Presidents of both countries.

Minister Jandroković said that the Republic of Croatia is very energetic on its path to European Union membership and sees the enlargement of the Union based on principles of individual approach and fulfilling the necessary criteria for membership as a key factor for long–term stability and security in south–eastern Europe, as well as the rest of the European continent. In that respect, the Republic of Croatia supports the Republic of Serbia on its path to Euro–integration and is always willing to pass its knowledge and experience form the accession process. The Government of the Republic of Croatia already fulfilled one of aspects of technical assistance by presenting the translation of the acquis communautaire to Croatian language to the interested countries of the region, and the translation will also be handed to the Republic of Serbia.

There were also discussions on the potential improvement of economic and scientific co–operation, as well as the importance of the Bank for Reconstruction and Development Annual Assembly which is held today and tomorrow in Zagreb.

The collocutors also discussed bilateral relations, situation in south–eastern Europe and regional co–operation between the two countries.
