Both collocutors assessed bilateral relations as very good and discussed economic relations and Croatian accession to the European Union. State Secretary Plenković briefed Ambassador Mercer on the course of Croatian accession negotiations and activities related to informing Croatian public on the European Union. Furthermore, he emphasized Croatia’s political and operative readiness to finalise the technical aspect of the negotiation process by the end of this year.
