MFAEI Diplomatic Academy is organizing in cooperation with CEI international conference on Modern European Diplomacy and Diplomatic Vocation, held 7-9 May 2009 at Dubrovnik Center for Advanced Academic Studies
On May 7th 2009, the Forum was ceremoniously opened with speeches by MFAEI Director for Europe and North America Aleksandar Heina and alternate CEI Secretary General Gerhard Pfanzelter
This is the 12th international diplomatic gathering, now officially called The CEI Dubrovnik Diplomatic Forum. This year’s Forum is aimed at generating expert discussion about the current trends and perspectives of the European diplomacy and its characteristic bi- and multilateral aspects, as well as about the goals, content, structure and dynamic of the diplomatic activity and education in Europe.
Participating in the Forum are representatives of all the CEI members – Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Italy, Macedonia, Romania, Slovenia, Serbia and Ukraine, as well as the representatives of Germany, Portugal, the US and the UK. These are home and foreign experts in diplomacy, foreign policy and international relations, heads of diplomatic academies and other high foreign affairs service representatives, university professors, and others involved in diplomatic vocation and international cooperation, who are contributing though their activities to the expert and professional development of diplomats and the diplomatic profession.
