On Tuesday, July 4th, 2006 the Foreign Affairs Minister Kolinda Grabar Kitarović, held a meeting on the premises of Ministry of foreign Affairs and European Integrations hosting the Croatian Diplomatic Missions and Consular Offices diplomats in charge of the fields of culture, education and science

Minister Grabar – Kitarović rated this diplomatic meeting as very useful considering the fact that a lot had been done within the area of cultural promotion, what could also be noted in the visible improvements towards the systematic planning, mainy in coordinating activities with the Croatian Ministry of Culture.

Furthermore, Minister Grabar – Kitarović pointed out how the promotion through culture has a very important role within diplomation, and that culture is maybe even the best ambassador of its own state. And although the responsibility for our country’s image presented abroad lies on every citizen of the Republic of Croatia, our diplomats are the most visible while in their hosting countries.

Minister Grabar – Kitarović also pointed out the importance of presenting and preserving the unique and recognizable identity of the Republic of Croatia within the European family, characterized by its very own cultural diversity.

Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Mario Horvatić held a lecture for the diplomats treating the following subject „The Republic of Croatia on its way to the European Union“
