At the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Jadranka Kosor, Deputy Prime Minister of the Croatian Government, and Mr. Miomir Žužul, the Croatian Foreign Minister, and their collaborators, have held a meeting this morning, concerning the coordination of forwarding humanitarian aid to the victims of disastrous earthquake in south-eastern Iran.

With the participation of businessmen from leading Croatian companies, Mr. Josip Petrović from Agrokor, Mr. Ivan Mišetić from Croatia Airlines, Ms. Darinka Baga from Končar, Mr. Željko Čović from Pliva and Mr. Željko Đurina from Podravka, it was decided that forwarding of humanitarian aid will begin early next week, in accordance with the most urgent needs of victims in Iran.

The Croatian Government invites all other economic entities and companies in the Republic of Croatia to join in collecting aid for victims in Iran. The next operative meeting of all involved in collecting and forwarding aid to Iran is scheduled for Monday morning, 29 December 2003, at the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

As the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on behalf of the Croatian Government, coordinates activities concerning humanitarian aid to Iran, information may be obtained at the following number at the Croatian Foreign Ministry: 4569 964. From Monday, 29 December 2003, aid will be collected at the Hall 1 at the Zagreb Fair.
