25th anniversary of the Croatian membership to the Council of Europe

19th November 2021 - Ceremony of planting Mediterranean tree in the Park Orangerie in Strasbourg

Permanent Representation of the Republic of Croatia to the Council of Europe in cooperation with City of Strasbourg have organized the ceremony of planting Mediterranean tree in the oldest and one of most beautiful parks in Strasbourg – Park Orangerie. The ceremony was attended by high officials of the Council of Europe, representatives of diplomatic corps and Croatians in Strasbourg. After dedication talks done by Permanent Representative of the Republic of Croatia to the Council of Europe Ambassador Toma Galli, Deputy Mayor for European and International Affairs Julia Dumay and Secretary General of the Council of Europe Marija Pejčinović Burić, in which it was reminded on the Croatian way to the membership as well as on Croatian commitments, achievements  and  devotion to the Council of Europe’s values, as well as on  the ecological priorities of ongoing Mayor Jeanne Barseghian, the Croatian and European anthems have been played and symbolic plantation has been made. In front of the tree stands memorial plate with inscription in Croatian and French language explaining the 25th anniversary of Croatian membership to the Council of Europe. After ceremony, distinguished guests were invited to a cocktail in the Pavillon Josephine offered by the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Croatia to the Council of Europe.
