Permanent Representation of the Republic of Croatia to the Council of Europe held a reception which celebrated National Day (25 June) and marked the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitutional Decision on the independence and sovereignty of the Republic of Croatia, as well as the adoption of the Declaration of independence and sovereignty of the Republic of Croatia. This year Croatia also celebrates the 15th anniversary of its membership in the Council of Europe.
Permanent Representation of the Republic of Croatia to the Council of Europe held a reception which celebrated National Day (25 June) and marked the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitutional Decision on the independence and sovereignty of the Republic of Croatia, as well as the adoption of the Declaration of independence and sovereignty of the Republic of Croatia. This year Croatia also celebrates the 15th anniversary of its membership in the Council of Europe.
The reception gathered many distinguished guests, including President of the Parliamentary Assembly Mevlüt Çavusoglu, Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe Maud de Boer-Buquicchio, President of the Venice Commission Gianni Buquicchio, diplomatic representatives of Member States of the Council of Europe, representatives of the City of Strasbourg and the Department of Bas-Rhin and other representatives of political, social, religious and cultural life in Strasbourg, as well as Croatian citizens form Strasbourg and its surroundings. The reception was also attended by members of the Delegation of Croatian Parliament to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
The guests were welcomed by the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Croatia to the Council of Europe, Ambassador Anica Djamic.
