Croatia signed the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on a communications procedure

The Republic of Croatia has signed the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on a communications procedure in New York on 27 December 2013. The Optional Protocol was adopted on 19 December 2011 during the 66th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations. Croatia is overall the forty fifth country and the fifteenth member state of the European Union which has signed the Optional Protocol. On behalf of the Republic of Croatia the Optional Protocol was signed by H. E. Mr. Vladimir Drobnjak, Permanent Representative of Croatia to the United Nations in New York, at the premises of the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs. The Optional Protocol shall enter into force three months after the deposit of the tenth instrument of ratification. The total number of ratifications deposited so far is nine.
