In the area of ??Regional Command North in Afghanistan, members of the 18th HRVCON in the ISAF mission handed over on Monday, 12 December 2011, a brand new water tower to residents of the Faizabad village. The project itself was designed in co-ordination of officers for civil-military relations of the 17th and 18th HRVCON and members of the HRV INFANTRY COMPANY on the ground, in cooperation with the ISAF Regional Command North and local authorities. Village of Faizabad is the area of responsibility of the HRV infantry company and is situated on a 30-minute drive from the 'Marmal' campsite near Mazar-e Sharif. The village is inhabited by about 700 residents. The construction of the water tower, which is essential for the village's supply with drinking water, greatly improved the living conditions of villagers, but also contributed to building of good relations between the people and ISAF, particularly members of HRVCON.
