North Atlantic Council honours victims of Polish air crash

The North Atlantic Council (NAC) met today to honour the victims of the Polish tragedy. The Secretary General, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, the Dean of the Council, Ambassador Per Poulsen-Hansen, and the Chairman of the Military Committee, Admiral Giampaolo Di Paola, expressed their condolences to the Polish people on behalf of the NAC, the Military Committee and the entire NATO community.

The Polish Ambassador to NATO, Ambassador Boguslaw Winid, thanked NATO for the solidarity expressed during this tragic moment. In addition, one minute of silence was observed.
