Participation in KFOR
In accordance with the Decision of the Croatian Parliament of 15 July 2008 regarding the participation of members of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia in the peacekeeping operation of NATO in Kosovo (Kosovo Force – KFOR), first Croatian contingent of 20 CAF members and two transport helicopters Mi -171Sh was deployed to KFOR on 1 July 2009.
The main task of the Croatian contingent (HRVCON) is transport of people and cargo.
Currently VII. Croatian contingent (HRVCON) of 20 members of the Croatian Armed Forces, mostly from the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence with two transport helicopters Mi-171Sh is deployed to KFOR.
VII. HRVCON is deployed since March 2011. It consists of three helicopter crews, aeronautical-technical team for maintenance and support of the national element.
