At a ceremonial session, attended by the Croatian delegation led by Croatian Parliament's Speaker Luka Bebic, the Parliament of the Republic of Bulgaria ratified the Protocol on NATO Enlargement to the Republic of Croatia.
By ratifying the Protocol, Bulgaria became the 7th of the 26 NATO members to do so, following the parliament of Hungary, Latvia, the US, Lithuania, Poland, and Romania.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration welcomes the ratification, considering it a further incentive for Croatia on its way to NATO. We expect the other NATO members to soon follow suit, so that at the next NATO summit Croatia could participate as its full-fledged member.
