Relocation of the first group of refugees from Greece to Croatia

The Republic of Croatia has accepted on Tuesday, 23 August 2016, ten refugees from Greece in accordance with the decisions of the Council of the EU, which are related to the relocation of migrants from Italy or Greece to other Member States of the EU. Upon their arrival to Croatia, ten Syrian nationals have been placed in the Reception Centre for asylum seekers in Zagreb, after which the Croatian Ministry of the Interior will start the procedure for granting international protection. Herewith, Republic of Croatia continued with relocation of refugees eligible for international protection, following the acceptance of four citizens of Eritrea from Italy in July.
