At their meeting, the Ministers continued their work on the current task of defining guidelines for future policies in the fields of freedom, security and justice, and of defining priorities in the area of justice, for the year 2014 and onwards. The European Commission presented its recent package of legislative measures dealing with criminal law, with the treatment of children accused of criminal offences, with certain aspects of the presumption of innocence and other issues.
Among other topics, consequences of the Directive on protection of personal data were discussed.
