Ms. Milanka Opacic, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Social Policy and Youth, and Dr. Mirando Mrsic Minister of Labour and Pension System took part on 29 and 30 April at the Informal EPSCO Ministerial Council (Health and Labor) in Athens. They met the presiding EU Minister, Greek
Minister of Labour, Social Security and Welfare, Ioannis Vroutsis. The EPSCO Council discussed the labor market reform in the context of economic recovery, combat against long term unemployment and enhancing participation in the labor market, the role of wages harmonization in the labor legislation reform, as well as the role of defining minimal wages in the process of economic reform. Quality standards and curbing illegal labor were also on the agenda.
