Croatian shipyard Montmontaza Greben Ltd. to build six patrol boats for the Hellenic Coast Guard

The contract between Hellenic Ministry of Merchant Marine and the Aegean and Croatian company Montmontaža Greben Ltd. for the construction of six patrol boats for the Hellenic Coast Guard has been signed on 13 January 2014 by the Secretary General of the Ministry Athanasios Bousios and General Manager of Montmontaža Greben Mladen Žanetic. Contract signing ceremony was also attended by Croatian Ambassador to Greece, Dr. Ivan Velimir Starcevic . The contract was awarded to Croatian company after an international tender. First two vessels are to be delivered by the end of this year, while the deadline for delivery of all the vessels is end of June 2015. The ships will have total length of 25m each, maximum speed of 30 knots and will be suitable for navigation in extreme sea conditions. Each vessel will be equipped with two motors, operating side boat with a crane and electronic equipment necessary for the safe navigation and for the control of navigation at sea. The vessels will be able to accommodate six crew members and will have the possibility of accepting 24 injured people.
