Croatian Junior Handball Team Won the International Tournament in Greece

Croatian junior handball team (U16) won the International Handball Tournament "Vrillitos 2018" for the third time in a row. The tournament took place from 30 March to 2 April in Athens at the Olympic Athletics Center. In the final match, played on April 2, Croatian handball players beat Iceland 21:20 in a tense finish in which the winning goal was scored literally in the last second of the game. Croatian Ambassador in Athens Aleksandar Sunko and other Embassy`s officials followed the final match as well as other matches of the Croatian team, and at the end the Ambassador was honored to award the winning cup to the Croatian national team. The tournament was held for the 6th time in a row with Croatia, Iceland, Israel, Greece, China, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Russia and Romania participating in this year`s competition.
