Panel discussion on European experiences in conflict resolution and reconciliation

Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Tel Aviv and Israel Council on Foreign Relations, which operates under the auspicies of World Jewish Congress (WJC), have organised, on Friday, 1st May, in the residence of the Croatian Ambassador, a panel discussion within the framework of the Israeli-European Young Diplomats Forum, dedicated to the European experiences in conflict resolution and reconciliation, notably those from Northern Ireland and South-East Europe. The audience was composed of young Israeli diplomats and diplomats from European countries accredited to Israel, journalists and experts. Following an introductory address by dr. Laurence Weinbaum, Director of the Forum and Chief Editor of The Israel Journal of Foreign Affairs, the conference, moderated by journalist Noga Tarnopolsky, featured interventions by dr. Oded Eran, Senior Research Fellow at the Tel Aviv Institute for National Security Studies (INSS), former Israeli Ambassador to the EU, dr. Eamonn McKee, Ambassador of Ireland, and Pjer šimunovic, Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia.
