Croatian delegation at the 6th Global Forum for Combating Antisemitism

The 6th Global Forum for Combating Antisemitism, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs of the State of Israel, was held in Jerusalem, from 19 to 21 March 2018. The Forum is a leading international gathering for assessing the state of antisemitism worldwide, as well as assessing possible forms of social and governmental response and measures to combat antisemitism. The Forum gathered senior governmental officials, parliamentarians, representatives of the diplomatic corps, science, educators, media, non-governmental organizations, clergy and others dedicated to the issues of antisemitism and other forms of racial and ethnic intolerance. There were many prominent speakers, including Naftali Bennett, Israeli Minister of Education and Diaspora Affairs, Ron Lauder, President of the World Jewish Congress, Ran Yaakoby, Director of the Department for Combating Antisemitism, Israeli MFA, and Nickolay Mladenov, UN Special Coordinator for the MEPP. Delegation from the Republic of Croatia attended the Forum; Ambassador Amir Muharemi, Assistant Minister in the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and Head of Croatian Delegation to the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA), Ambassador Jakša Muljacic, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, and Tina Krce, Minister Plenipotentiary/Chargée d"Affaires a.i. of the Croatian Embassy in Israel. Prof. Ph.D. Ivo Goldstein, former Croatian Ambassador to the UNESCO, participated as one of the speakers on the panel on the Old Town of Jerusalem in the UNESCO.
