Ambassador Mrden Korac presented credentials to the President of the State of Israel Rivlin

On Thursday, 8 November 2018, Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to the State of Israel Vesela Mrden Korac presented the Letter of Credence to Israeli President Reuven Rivlin, at a ceremony at the President’s Residence in Jerusalem. Ambassador and President talked about topics of common interest and about opportunities for advancing friendly and partnership relations and ties between Croatia and Israel, from intensifying political dialogue to strengthening economic cooperation, including the field of transport (ports cooperation) and investment in tourism. On the same day, Ambassador visited Yad Vashem - The World Holocaust Remembrance Center. She toured the Holocaust History Museum, participated in a memorial ceremony in the Hall of Remembrance paying tribute to all Holocaust victims, visited the Children’s Memorial and signed the Guest Book. She also visited a part of the memorial garden with memorial plaques put in honor of Croatian Righteous among the Nations and viewed the Oscar awarded to Branko Lustig, Croatian producer and Holocaust survivor, for the film “Schindler"s List”. Ambassador had a meeting with the Yad Vashem management and talked about cooperation with Croatian institutions.
