The meeting focused on the Euro-Atlantic integration processes that Croatia is a part of and their effects on the economy. At the University of Toronto, Minister Grabar-Kitarovic held a lecture for the students of the Munk Center for International Studies, specialised in studies on political and democratic processes in South Eastern Europe. In her lecture, Minister Grabar-Kitarovic focused on Croatia's foreign policy, presenting its priorities and explaining Croatia's participation in the current global processes. Minister Grabar-Kitarovic said that, 15 years since its gaining of independence, Croatia has been recognised by the international community as a factor of stability in South Eastern Europe, as well as a spearhead, a model, and a positive example for the SEE countries in progress in the Euro-Atlantic processes and activities directed at the development of co-operation in the region. It is Croatia's interests, said Minister Grabar-Kitarovic, that the SEE countries have a European perspective, based on individual achievements, as a pledge of security and prosperity of this part of Europe.
