In the organization of the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Pretoria, on Monday, May 27, 2024, a reception was held on the occasion of the Statehood Day in the Pretoria Country Club. The reception was attended by around 180-200 guests from diplomatic and political establishment in the Republic of South Africa, representatives of the Croatian emigrant community and numerous other guests from public and political life in South Africa. In the official part of the reception, after the performing national anthems of the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of South Africa and official speeches by Ambassador Ante Cicvarić and Mr. Godfrey Mashamba, Deputy Director General of the South African Department for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (DPME), an informal part of the program followed. On the occasion of the reception, an exhibition of photographs by the author Nina Marcutti "Majestic Croatia" was set up, with motifs of the natural beauty of Croatia.
