Family Meals screened on 5th EUNIC Film Festival in Namibia

From October 5th to 12th, the EUNIC Cluster Namibia presented the 5th edition of the EUNIC Film Festival under the theme “Migration and Solidarity”. The festival featured 11 movies from the EU Member States ond 1 from Namibia. On Monday 10th, the Croatian movie “Family Meals“ (2012, directed by Dana Budisavljevic) was screened in the Goethe Institute in Windhoek. EUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture) is the network of the international cultural relations institutes from the member states of the European Union. Formed in 2006, it has 34 members from 28 countries. The festival"s aim is to improve the visibility of non-resident European embassies and provide them with the opportunity to present their countries and culture to the Namibian people. The EUNIC Film Festival was held in collaboration with the European Union Delegation to Namibia. EUNIC Cluster Namibia is composed of Alliance française de la Côte, British Council, Diogo Cão Centre, Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre and Goethe Zentrum as well as the Embassy of Finland and the Embassy of Spain. For the 2016 festival, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Romania and Netherlandsn were also presented through their diplomatic missions in South Africa.
