Ambassador Nenad Prelog presented his credentials to Botswana’s President S.K. Ian Khama

Croatian Ambassador to South Africa Dr. Sc. Nenad Prelog presented his credentials to President of the Republic of Botswana Seretse Khama Ian Khama on 29 February 2016 in Gaborone. He also presented copies of his credentials to the Minister in the Office of the President Eric Molale. Ambassador Prelog discussed several areas of common interest with both President Khama and Minister Molale, as well as important global issues and challenges. Special emphasis was placed on cooperation in the sectors of health, higher education and knowledge transfer, tourism, energy and sustainable development. In these sectors there is a great potential for strengthening bilateral economic ties, especially after the appointment of Vjekoslav Majetic as the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Botswana to the Republic of Croatia. During his stay in Gaborone, Ambassador Prelog met with the leader of the opposition Duma Boko and visited the University of Botswana, where he met with the Rector Thabo Fako and Vice-Rector Otlogetswe Totolo.
