The Croatian National Tourist Board has organized the workshop and presentation of the Croatian tourist offering in Tokyo on 15 February 2018. The workshop was from the Croatian side attended also by the tourist boards of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County, Kvarner and the City of Zagreb, as well as the Croatian national air carrier the Croatia Airlines and tourist companies Atlas, Gulliver Travel, Adriatic DMC, Platanus and Pointers. From Japanese side there were around 50 participants from more than 40 tourist companies and media in tourist sector. The Turkish Airlines presented its flights connecting Japan and Croatia via Istanbul.
Croatia has witnessed a significant increase of tourist arrivals and tourist overnights from Japan in 2017. In his addressed Ambassador Hrastic invited the representatives of Japanese tourist business and media to be even more ambitious and proactive in bringing Japanese tourists to Croatia as one of the most beautiful countries in the world, “Full of Life” and happenings. He stressed that Croatian Embassy in Tokyo will continue supporting this efforts and participate in joint projects. The workshop was organized in cooperation with the Slovenian Tourist Organization that presented the tourist offer of this neighboring country.
