The Tenth Cairo Biennale is being opened in Cairo on 12th of December 2006. This year selector of Croatian representatives was Mr. Dalibor Jelavic, the Dean of the Academy for Fine Arts of the Zagreb Univeristy.
The Tenth Cairo Biennale is being opened in Cairo on 12th of December 2006. This year selector of Croatian representatives was Mr. Dalibor Jelavic, the Dean of the Academy for Fine Arts of the Zagreb Univeristy.
Croatian official representatives are artists Ms. Mirjana Vodopija, Matko Vekic and Mr. Tomislav Buntak. The trio displayed abstract works and installations that caught significant attention at the exhibition.
Two additional Croatian artists are present at the exhibition: Ms. Branka škific Ridicki, in the category of the Special Invitees of the Commissar of the Biennale Dr. Selim and Ms. Barbara Raic as a member of the official Austrian selection that comprises of an Austrian, Slovenian and Croatian artist.
The Biennale will be opened until 31st of January 2007.
