H.E. Mr. Stjepan Mesic, President of the Republic of Croatia, received at the Republican Presidency premises Ahmed bin Abdulnabi Macki, National Economy Minister and Deputy Chairman of the Financial Affairs and Energy Resources Council, and his delegation on February 17, 2010.
President Mesic asked Minister Macki to convey his greetings and sincere wishes of good health to His Majesty the Sultan of Oman and further progress and prosperity to the Omani people under His Majesty's wise leadership. He noted that his talks with His Majesty and his visit to the Sultanate late last year contributed in creating a shared desire by public and private sectors in the two countries to engage in joint ventures. The meeting explored the existing bilateral co-operation along with efforts to boost the projects and investment opportunities for government and private sectors in both countries.
Macki said exchange of visits by officials in the two countries made them more willing to establish joint economic investments because the visits allowed them to become aware of the potentials and opportunities for investment available for each party. The audience was attended by Abdul Malik bin Abdulla al Hinai, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of National Economy for Economic Affairs, Shaikh Dr Badr bin Mohammed al Hinai, the Sultanate Ambassador to Austria, non-resident to Croatia and members of the delegation accompanying the minister.
