On 23 February 2010, M.Sc. ?uro Popijac, Minister of the Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship met for a working lunch with the Egyptian economic delegation headed by Rachid Mohamed Rachid, Minister of Trade and Economy.
In an open and friendly atmosphere during the lunch significant potentials for further improvement of economic relations were mentioned.
„We hope for a further development of business relations in activities in which significant economic cooperation was realized earlier, primarily in infrastructure projects. Considerable potentials for cooperation could be found in oil industry, shipbuilding, electrical industry, pharmaceutical industry and tourism“, said Minister Popijac on this occasion, and pointed out that he is specially pleased by the fact that the Egyptian delegation is composed of numerous businessmen that have expressed by their arrival to Zagreb their interest in establishing new business relation and strengthening the existing ones with the Croatian partners.
Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mr. Dražen Margeta, attended the meeting.
