On behalf of the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki Moon the decoration ceremony was performed by the Force Commander, Major General Natalio C. Ecarma III and the national contingent commanders Major Marijan Maderic and Lieutenant Colonel Karl Wolf. During the ceremony Major General Ecarma III pointed out, to Croatian Ambassador Mr. Margeta his appreciation with a level of the professionalism and military skills of Croatian soldiers.
The ceremony was attended by the Croatian Ambassador to Syria Mr. Dražen Margeta and the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Croatia in Syrian Arab Republic Mr. Khouchaba Nissan.
