Football tournament "A time to make friends" among the Embassies in Cairo was held from April 28 – 29, 2006 in Wadi Degla Sports Club. It was organized by Sport Plus Company and the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Ten embassies, among them, the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia, participated in the tournament. All the members of the Croatian Embassy formed the Croatian team including H.E. Ambassador, Mr. Drazen Margeta.
Many fans of different nationalities supported teams.

Many fans of different nationalities supported teams.
Croatian team played the team of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the team of the Republic of Poland. Both matches were lost with minimal score difference. The team hardly gathered 5 players with no substitution, was brave and persistent.
After the tournament was ended, speakers of the Sport Plus Company announced projects of gathering employees of the embassies for the next year too.
