Croatian representatives on two conferences on water management in Cairo

Representatives of the Croatian Parliament, Croatian Government and non-governmental organizations participated in the two conferences on the water management held in Cairo.

Members of the Croatian Parliament, Mrs. Mirjana Petir as a Chairman and Mrs. Mirela Holy as a Vice-chairman of the Environmental Protection Committee, Mrs. Ružica Drmic and Mrs. Sanja Genezic Juriševic on behalf of the Ministry of Regional Development, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Croatia, Mr. Danko Biondic, Director of Development of the Croatian Waters, and representatives of the Croatian non-governmental organizations Mr. Tonci Tadic, Mr. Tomo Radman and Mrs. Kristina Buzuk, from „Euro Mediterranean Forum“, and Mr. Vjeran Piršic from „Eko – Kvarner“ participated in two international conferences on the water management in Cairo; „Towards the new Long Term Strategy for Water in the Mediterranean, Joint Egyptian-Dutch Water Conference“, organized by Global Water Partnership and chaired by H.E. dr. Mohamed Nasr Allam, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation of Egypt, held from November 2-3, 2009, and its opening session was attended by H.E. Ambassador, Mr. Dražen Margeta; and International Seminar “Towards a Genuine Social Dimension of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership: the Contribution of Civil Society” organized by Euro Med Non-Governmental Platform, with assistance of EU and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung held from October 31 to November 1, 2009.
