Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia Dražen Margeta, who is non-residentially covering the State of Qatar, visited 15th July 2010 the construction site of an important road junction in Doha. The project is being run by the Croatian company Konstruktor Engineering Inc.
Ambassador Margeta was informed about the project and the work progress by Konstruktor Engineering general manager Mili Lapic, project manager Boris Vuk and deputy general manager Davorin Jelavic.
The important four-level road junction has since 2006 been brought to near completion. It is estimated that the planned handover date (end-October 2010) will be honoured.
Since parts of said roadway have already been opened to traffic, Konstruktor Engineering Inc. has proven its quality and gained preconditions for participating in competitions for other infrastructural projects in Qatar, as well as in other countries of the Arabian Peninsula. Future projects may include other Croatian companies from both the construction sector and the accompanying industries.
The same day, Ambassador Margeta met with officials of the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Public Works Authority, reiterating the wish of Konstruktor Engineering Inc. to continue working on new infrastructural projects, which in this country, even during the times of global economic crisis, there is no shortage of.
