Croatian choir Luka at the Friendship Society

At the banqueting hall of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries,on 14 of June, 2011, a concert was held by the famous women's choir from Rijeka. The event was organized by the Embassy in Beijing and with the support of the Department of Culture of the Independent Service for Croats Abroad and Culture, dedicated to marking the twentieth anniversary of National Day and Croatian Armed Forces Day.

Over seventy guests, representatives of the Croatian community in China, the Chinese and foreign guests and representatives of Chinese media enjoyed a superb hour a capella performance of Croatian folk songs and versions of famous Croatian pop artists songs.Ambassador Simonić gave the opening speech. Croatian and Chinese audiences with the same enthusiasm greeted the excellent performance of eight members  of the choir Luka.
