CRI celebrations 2011

On June 15, 2011. China Radio International’s Croatian Service celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of the first broadcast in Croatian language and the third anniversary of the founding of Croatian Language Broadcast Service. With the support of the Embassy of Croatia in Beijing and the Independent Service for Croats Abroad and Culture of the Croatian MOFA, a women's choir Luka from the Croatian port of Rijeka, gave a concert.

The ceremony was attended by two hundred guests, among them representatives of the Croatian Embassy in Beijing. Ambassador Ante Simonić and deputy director of the China Radio International, Ma Weigong, gave the speech. Ambassador Simonić congratulated CRI on the two important anniversaries and thanked for the highly successful collaboration of the Embassy and this important Chinese media. Besides a capella concert of eight members of the women’s choir Luka, guests had the opportunity to see an exhibition dedicated to the history of the CRI’s Croatian Broadcast Service.
