CITM Fair
Organized by China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) from 15th to 18th November 2012 in Shanghai was held China International Travel Mart (CITM) in which participated 104 countries and regions.
Organized by China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) from 15th to 18th November 2012 in Shanghai was held China International Travel Mart (CITM) in which participated 104 countries and regions.
The showroom spread over more than 57 000 m2. Particular interest for the Republic of Croatia was introduction of the 16 Central and East European Countries as Chinese touristic partner.
On behalf of Republic of Croatia Ambassador prof. dr. sc. Ante Simonić welcomed the guests, spoke to the representatives of many Chinese travel agents and media and invited them to visit Croatia. The speech was followed by a video presentation of Croatian tourism synchronized to Chinese language. Reactions to the presentation were extremely positive and spotted a big attention from Chinese institution side as well as promotional booklets distributed to the participants.

Ambassador prof. dr. sc. Ante Simonić announced the arrival of the Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Croatia Mr. Veljko Ostojić to one the most popular tourist fairs in Shanghai (World Travel Fair) and Beijing in 2013.
During the CITM, there was organized meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of PRC Mr. Song Tao-m, which also holds the position of Secretary General of the Secretariat of the People's Republic of China for cooperation with the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, the meeting with Ms. Chen Bo, Deputy Director General for European Affairs of the PRC Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Mr. Zhu Shanzhong Vice Chairman of China National Tourism Administration, attended by leading figures in the tourism sector PRC and general directors of travel agencies. That made an excellent opportunity for Croatian Delegation Ambassador prof. dr. sc. Ante Simonić and Alida Valić Pešut, III. Secretary to consider future cooperation possibilities.
