Ambassador Simonić visited the city of Rugao

Ambassador Ante Simonić led the diplomatic delegation which included six ambassadors representing 25 countries from different parts of the world that visited the city of Rugao (1,5 million inhabitants) in Jiangsu province

The visit lasted from 25 to 29 October 2012 and covered meetings with city and province leaders, including Rugao mayor and party secretary Mr. Yong Hua.

Ambassador Ante Simonić led the diplomatic delegation which included six ambassadors representing 25 countries from different parts of the world that visited the city of Rugao (1,5 million inhabitants) in Jiangsu province.

The visit lasted from 25 to 29 October 2012 and covered meetings with city and province leaders, including Rugao mayor and party secretary Mr. Yong Hua.

Key institutions and companies have also been visited, among them the biggest Chinese shipyard (Ronfsheng Heawy Industries Group Holding), the Rugao Normal University and the world famous community of elder people with more than 250 people over 100 years old. Ambassador Simonić had the honour, as special guest, to attend the following international events: The 6th Longevity Cultural Festival, The 10th Rugao Economic Talks on The Development Alongside The Yangtze River i The 7th China Rugao Landscape Festival.

The programme for diplomats was organised by the Chinese association Friendship Communication Organization of Ambassadors from Beijing.
