In his welcoming remarks, Ambassador Paro reminded that Croatia is an active contributor in the shared agenda of the protection of human rights globally. In addition to Croatia"s membership in the European Union, a recognized leader in protection in comprehensive human rights for all people, Croatia is participating in two programs that are led by the U.S. Government: Equal Futures Partnership - that promotes political and economic participation of women, and Global Equality Fund which is concerned with the protection of the LGBT individuals in the world.
