This year for the fourth time the Embassy of Croatia participated at the Francophonie Cultural Festival, a month of cultural activities promoting main goals of the International Organisation of la Francohonie (OIF) such as: promotion of peace, democracy and human rights; support for education, training, higher education and scientific research; support for expansion of cooperation for sustainable development.

This year for the fourth time the Embassy of Croatia participated at the Francophonie Cultural Festival, a month of cultural activities promoting main goals of the International Organisation of la Francohonie (OIF) such as: promotion of peace, democracy and human rights; support for education, training, higher education and scientific research; support for expansion of cooperation for sustainable development.
The primary mission of the OIF, where the Republic of Croatia participates as an observer country, is promotion of French language as an international language but also promotion of cultural and linguistic diversity in the era of Anglophone globalization. La Francophonie/OIF has been a pioneer in terms of recognition of cultural diversity and dialogue of cultures worldwide.
Traditionally the festivities comprise la Grande Fete held at La Maison Francaise at the French Embassy, an event that brings together countries of la Francophonie (this year 35 countries) in promotion of their cultural and gastronomy heritage, and which each year attracts large Washingtonian public.
